What is MariMUN?
MariMUN is a Model United Nations (MUN) conference open to high school and Cegep students in the Montreal region and abroad. The MariMUN conference is organized and executed by the Marianopolis Model United Nations (MariMUN) club, and is held annually through a weekend in February on the Marianopolis College campus, in beautiful Westmount. MariMUN created the conference as a tantalizing taste of the Model UN world for newcomers interested in participating in the club in future years, as well as a venue for experienced delegates to hone their skills. The Three Keys to Marimun are Learning, Cooperation, and Enjoyment. Through the weekend conference, the organizers aim to provide a meaningful experience from which participants will gain a better understanding of world situations and insight into politics and the importance of cooperation, all while enjoying themselves to the fullest. This year the conference will be held on February 20, 2010.The MariMUN Secretariat aims to provide the richest MUN experience possible to all participants, and extends a warm welcome to all prospective delegates!
